Located in Downtown Los Angeles, The Music Center is home to the Ahmanson Theater, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Mark Taper Forum and Walt Disney Concert Hall. From concerts and sing-alongs to the city’s largest holiday celebration, visitors can spend the entire season at The Music Center and never see the same event twice.


Ring in the holiday season at Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Festival of Carols, taking place on two consecutive Saturdays, December 8 and December 15. Herald the arrival of the holidays with this annual selection of treasured carols and songs sublimely sung by the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Artistic Director Grant Gershon conducts the array of festive treats, combining traditional favorites with newer arrangements, with some special seasonal surprises. Note: children under 6 are not admitted.

Handel's "Messiah" - WDCH (DEC. 16, 2018)

Composed in just 24 days, Messiah by George Frideric Handel is the composer's most popular work and might be the most performed classical work of all time. This enduring masterpiece will be sung by the Los Angeles Master Chorale under the joyful baton of Artistic Director Grant Gershon.

Featuring the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the annual Messiah Sing-Along packs Walt Disney Concert Hall every year. On Monday, Dec. 17, Artistic Director Grant Gershon conducts you and 2,199 other singers in this joyful sing-along with orchestra and soloists. Bring your own score or buy one in the lobby and join the chorus.

Special $150 VIP tickets offer an unforgettable experience: backstage entrance and pre-concert warm-up with the Master Chorale singers, complimentary musical score, onstage performance of Handel’s Messiah alongside singers of the Chorale, and VIP backstage intermission reception with champagne and holiday treats.

A Chanticleer Christmas (DEC. 19, 2018)

Chanticleer is a Grammy Award-winning ensemble known worldwide as “an orchestra of voices” and dubbed “the world’s leading male chorus” by The New Yorker. Chanticleer returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 19 with the group’s annual tradition, A Chanticleer Christmas. A seasonal favorite with audiences and critics alike, A Chanticleer Christmas features a classic holiday program of a cappella choral music. After the concert, Chanticleer will be signing CDs in the LA Phil Store lobby!

Herb Alpert & Lani Hall + The Manhattan Transfer - WDCH (Dec. 20, 2018)

Stay swinging with this holiday double bill at Walt Disney Concert Hall! Jazz icon Herb Alpert and famed Brasil ’66 vocalist Lani Hall put the "cool" in Yule. With their versatile vocals, The Manhattan Transfer move effortlessly from smooth to stylin’ as they cover Christmas classics.

Arturo Sandoval Big Band - WDCH (Dec. 21, 2018)

Ten-time Grammy® winner and trumpet master, Arturo Sandoval returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall for a Latin-based program of jazzed-up holiday favorites.

Holiday Sing-Along - WDCH (Dec. 22, 2018)

The entire family will enjoy lifting their voices together for the Holiday Sing-Along, a beloved Los Angeles holiday tradition hosted by Melissa Peterman and taking place on Saturday, December 22 at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Guests will sing a cheerful selection of seasonal favorites accompanied by the hall's massive pipe organ, a choir and a jazz combo. Two performances, at 11:30am and 2:30pm.

“White Christmas” Sing-Along - WDCH (Dec. 23, 2018)

Gather your family and friends for a special screening of White Christmas, starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Allen. At this heartwarming holiday event, the beloved 1954 film will have lyrics embedded on screen for the audience to sing along with classic Irving Berlin songs such as “The Best Things Happen When You’re Dancing,” “Snow,” “Sisters” and the iconic “White Christmas.” Two screenings, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

L.A. County Holiday Celebration - Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (DEC. 24, 2018)

Presented by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the 59th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration is L.A.’s largest holiday celebration. Taking place on Monday, Dec. 24 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the three-hour holiday event features instrumental music, choral music and dance performances that showcase the diverse cultures and holiday traditions of L.A. County.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and performances start at 3 p.m. Admission to the show is free, no reservations or tickets are necessary. Early arrival suggested - first come, first seated. Guests are welcome to come and go throughout the performances. The show will be broadcast live on PBS SoCal KOCE and

Go Metro to the Civic Center/Grand Park Station, then exit to Temple St/Hill St. The Holiday Celebration is only two blocks from the station.
